Default Tethering Data Plan?

Please Login to Remove!

I called Cingular to verify these three items were on my account:

WIX EXTENDED INTERNET $0.00
WIX DATA CONNECT $0.00
WRLSS INTRNT XPRS PAY PER USE $0.00

He stated, that they do not give these out anymore with the BB Unlimited Data Plan, and I would need to subscribe to the Tether Data Plan for 74.99/month. Does anyone have any info to back this up, or did I just make the unforunate mistake of mentioning I was trying to tether, and would I just need to call back and get someone different?

You located the correct information. I am w/Cingular and think it is completely ridiculous to charge for this feature which is equivalent to what I get charged for my high speed internet at the house!

blenahan: im in the same situation as you are. according to someone here in thie forum, i called cingular up to remove the WRLSS INTRNT XPRS PAY PER USE $0.00 since i have unliimited data. otherwise i would get additional charges if i use a 3rd party im software like google talk.

after last nite, when they remove the WRLSS INTRNT XPRS PAY PER USE $0.00 setting, my bbweather (weather program) stop working this morning. yesterday it didn't work initially until i put the apn settings. now im wondering after removing WRLSS INTRNT XPRS PAY PER USE $0.00, it stops working?

you said all 3. but yesterday somone here told me to remove the WRLSS INTRNT XPRS PAY PER USE $0.00 feature since i have unlimited data. and i verify this with a rep last night that i dont need that feature, otherwise, it would cost me more money. so either of you are lying to me.

WRLSS INTRNT XPRS PAY PER USE $0.00 gives u wap.cingular apn, but the wix data connect should give u the same thing, call them back make sure that WRLSS INTRNT XPRS PAY PER USE $0.00 is off then ask them to go to tech support and explain to them u need that apn on your account and they will add it manually.
sometimes when u remove the WRLSS INTRNT XPRS PAY PER USE $0.00 it takes off the wap.cingular apn of your account, even though it should stay on because of your bb unlimited plan.

Man your attitude for someone who needs help leaves a lot to be desired, keep it up and see how much more help you will get.
