Default Dual Mode GSM and CDMA Blackberry?

Please Login to Remove!

Hi Folks,
just wondering if there are any Dual mode CDMA and GSM Blackberry phones available.

In Australia, CDMA has far better range thatn GSM, but i travel a lot to the US and Europe, where GSM (tri-band) is preferable.

There are Dual mode cell phones available, but i cant seem to fin any dual mode Blackberries...i.e ones where i can switch from CDMA to GSM and vice Versa.

Cheers
Andrew

None now.
I actually wouldnt mind a dual mode Blackberry. GPRS for my data and CDMA for voice where Cingular doesn't reach.

At the wireless enterprise symposium, Verizon Wireless announced that they are working on a a CDMA 1x/GSM/GPRS device. They currently offer a device that has CDMA 1x and GSM, but no GPRS data. Supposedly, the device they are working on releasing is either a BlackBerry or has BlackBerry Connect.

I also heard (somewhere on the web) that the radio on the 7250 actually can be used for GPRS as well??? I know that's a stretch thinking that a software upgrade will make the thing instantly a world phone. I'd figure it would be some time next years before a 1x/GPRS device would be available.
