1. My present carrier (Cosmote) doesn't offer ANY Blackberry plans, but they "look" like this:
- 200 national (these are also international) minutes to call other carriers
- unlimited minutes between Cosmote users (my adress book contains aprox. 30% Cosmote users)
- basic internet subscription (I can read my emails with Opera, but I don't have push email)
All of those above for 20 Euro (25.24 $)
2. The other carrier I'm interested in is Orange, which includes:
- 305 national (no international) minutes to call other carriers
- 250 minutes to call inside Orange network (adress book of about 45% Orange users)
- basic Blackberry BIS plan.
All of those above for 24.66 Euro (31.12 $)
What would you do if you were me? Would you switch to Orange and use the full BB features? Or would you stick with Cosmote and read emails the traditional ways?
The real issue is which carrier has the service when and where you need it - where you live, work, travel and play. If the both have that and you want/need the BB and its features, then maybe a switch is the best solution.
Rumors are that T-Mobile bought COsmote and in fall they will begin re-branding and everything and if they'll provide BB plans, I would really regret switching to Orange. The thing is I was a Orange customer for over 11 years and I switched to Cosmote in October 2008, because they have a much better offer. Orange didn't want to give me the same offer, so I switched. As a matter of fact, they weren't even close to Cosmote's offer.

I still would suggest the Orange plan. It will allow you to use a BlackBerry to its full capacity.
Tuesday I'll go into a Orange shop that is run by a friend of mine. I'll see for myself how the BB services look like, as my friend uses a Blackberry. If I will decide it's worthed, I'll make a contract right away. And keep you posted, of course.
Just started a brand new plan with Orange, just to use BB services. And may I say, it's awesome. I never thought push email would be so convenient. Who says that BB phones should be used with BB services he or she are definitely RIGHT! It's incomparable with 3rd party apps.
