i updated my os yesterday and now my bb is running very slow and freezes up. i have tried taking out the batt and letting it sit. nothing seems to help and its very annoying. any thoughts?

I updated with no problems. It was a bit sluggish at first but has cleared up after a day or so. I did not have to do a battery pull.

They finally got rid of that annoying speaker blast!

I am running .131 fine as well. Do you have any applications running in the background?

How much file free do you have? Options -> Status.

no apps in background. and free space is 37 ish mb. maybe i did it wrong or something. everyone said it was slow the first day or so but mine just wont speed up.

I updated to this too. It deleted all my contacts from my phone. And like yours it was running very slowly. I ended up restoring my phone to the previous OS because i HAD TO HAVE my contacts.

Did you try to manually restore the backup after the upgrade to OS 4.5?

how do i manually restore it?

In the desktop manager you have a backup/restore spot.

Choose "restore" and find the latest backup file (.ipd).

Everything you had would be restored to your BB.
