Thumbs down Screen (n)

Just for the sake of posting a comment in the (for now) forgotten Pearl 9100 forum....

Does anyone else agree that they need to ditch that ODD format screen (1x1) in favor for at least a standard 320x240 (or 240x320 for that matter) screen...?

That review is wrong. The screen resolution of the 9100 is for sure 360x400. I've seen the RIM documentation. It also will have wifi compatibility with 802.11b,g,n networks.

wow... now they are making it with better specs than even the Storm 2 or Bold 2..... :(

(I still love the big screen anyway..)

Hey Raptor do you know if they have any plans for giving some sort of Video Output capabilities in the future?

I would love to output pictures, movies, presentations and others documents on an external screen or video beam... (my old Archos player does it through the headphone jack, composite. and of course that was a dedicated video player)

But I would love to see that feature...

The only video output that I know of is by using the BlackBerry Presenter, which uses bluetooth similar to the BlackBerry Music Gateway.

Looks very nice, but its too pricey for the features it offers... I know BT is not ready for streaming video right now... but thats what Im waiting for in my next BB device... (at least some sort of video output)...

Though this looks awesome if you want to do a presentation on the go, or traveling lightweight....
Thanks for sharing

Both Bell and Rogers are offering the 9100 as of last week. The Rogers one has a red back.
Appears to be a 9700 in a smaller package with suretype instead of full qwerty keyboard. WiFi, gps, trackpad, double bold 9000 memory and all standard gsm and 3G frequencies.
