email disappear all the time !!
Please Login to Remove!
HI again
I have a problem with my BB (once again). I'm searching in every forum about the disappearance of email but can't find the solution.
My email disappear on my folder on BB right after I receive an other email. Or it could be few minutes, hours or the following days, my email disappear. I swith off every night my mobile. That's how I noticed they disappear.
Does somebody know what I can do? I tried to take out the battery while BB on, but that doesn't look to be the problem. Din;t know what to try next.
So you know, it's a BIS.
Thank for any help.

Hi...
Check your memory status. What are the numbers?
Do you take pictures without a media card? EDIT - 8700 - no camera or SD!

Do you use the "Switch Application" menu while on calls?

Hi,
I would run some memory cleanups that are available here. Use the search feature... JC has setup a primer on mem cleanout and optimization...
Also in the mean time...
Reduce Allocated Media Memory
1. Scroll to and select the Media icon.
2. Select the Pictures icon.
3. Select the Device Memory icon.
4. Press the Menu key, select Options.
5. Change the Device Memory Limit to 12 MB.
6. Press the Menu key, select Save.
Reduce Calendar Keep Appointments to 60 days or less
1. Scroll to and select the Calendar icon.
2. Press the Menu key, select Options.
3. Scroll to and select Keep Appointments.
4. Select the desired amount of time to keep appointments.
5. Press the Menu key, select Save.
(It's unlikely that you'll need old appointments on your BlackBerry, especially if you're on a BES.)
Reduce the amount of time Messages are kept on the handheld.
1. Scroll to and select the Messages icon.
2. Press the Menu key, select Options.
3. Select General Options.
4. Scroll to and select Keep Messages.
5. Select the desired amount of time to keep appointments.
6. Press the Menu key, select Save.
Clear Cache and Cookies
1. Scroll to and select the Browser or Media Net icon.
2. Press the Menu key.
3. Select Options.
4. Select Cache Operations.
5. Select Clear History.
Delete Unused Languages
1. Scroll to and select the Settings icon.
2. Select the Options icon.
3. Select Advanced Options.
4. Select Applications.
5. Scroll to and highlight each of the unused languages under the Input
Support and Language and Input Support subheadings.
6. Press the Menu key.
7. Select Delete.
8. Select Delete.
9. When prompted to Restart select No until all unused languages are
deleted.
10. Repeat steps 4-8 until all unused languages are deleted then
select Yes when prompted to restart.
Delete Sample Video
1. Scroll to and select the Settings icon.
2. Select the Options icon.
3. Select Advanced Options.
4. Select Applications.
5. Scroll to and highlight "Blackberry Sample Video". (it may not be there so move on to the next steps)
6. Press the Menu key.
7. Select Delete.
8. Select Delete.
9. When prompted to Restart select Yes.
Change Call Log Options
1. Scroll to and select the Phone icon.
2. Press the Menu key.
3. Select Options.
4. Select Call Logging.
5. Select either Missed Calls or None.
Make Use of the Lookup Feature in the Address Book: Instead of keeping a large address book, just use the lookup feature if it is available from your company.
Enable Content Compression: Go to Options | Security Options | General Settings and enabled Content Compression
Be Sure to Hard Reset the Blackberry After you have Performed all the Desired Steps Above ...

Hi...
To answer your question, it is a bit low and this number could be better.
On my 8310 = 21674141

It appears he has about 30 megs of free memory which seems kind of strange on an 8700 model. Maybe he added one to many numbers. Is it 3 megs or 30 megs free?

I'm guessing that it's 3MB as opposed to 30MB. 3MB is too low and you will lose things. Can the OP clarify? Is to 3,000,000 or 30,000,000?

Zenmary
Does this number change if you reboot the device?
Take the battery out of the device while it is turned on and reboot.
Also, do you have any 3rd party applications installed??
Thx...
H.

I'm having a similar issue...
I have a couple extra things on this device (8700c): Gmail, Google Maps, YahooGo. I had around 17MB (with all this stuff), then deleted TTY option...gave me 27MB. Now, in just a few days (and nothing unusual downloaded). I have dropped to 10535384b?!? I have looked and looked for where I might have lost it, but to no avail. I have cleared the cache, ensured the programs have turned off, and gained little.
If I look at the database sizes (under file free), it has a total of 252k...and most of that is in the content store at 223.7k, and I don't know what that is.
Any advise?
