Weird Sound on 7100t

Weird Sound on 7100t
Has anyone else had this problem? I've got my notification settings set to a number of different sounds, but every time it plays one, it starts off with a weird little reminder sound (sounds like "Blackberry1" from my 7230) right before. I can't get it to stop, and this sound isn't even one of the sounds available on the thing! I've heard of some other people having this problem as well. Any ideas?  |

yep, I have that too. It's not all of the ringtones either, just some of them. Also, I have the .112 upgrade, and that didn't change anything. Has anyone tried contact BB about this???

okay, silly question but those that have this sound, are you by any chance using a headset?
When I have a headset connected, it plays the old Blackberry jingle through my headset and plays the tone I selected through the speaker. I think it does this in case you have the volume down but have your headset connected. The BB jingle that comes through the headset is so lound you can hear it even without the headset in and it sounds like it is coming from the device.
Is this what you guys are hearing?

I hear the sound through the headset too, before I hear the normal one through the device. I thought it was a feature.

Just a note, .112 is not the latest upgrade. It should be .128. It is tricky to perform the update but there is plenty of info on other posts. Then remove battery and reboot and should clear up sound.

Nope, not using a headset. This is just happening through the regular speaker.

Installed .128 and pulled the battery, no luck.

I had this happen once when I first bought it and did what everyone said pull battery and restart, and never had the problem again. And the .128 update should clear up the problem.
