after recent posts i have finally decided to go with the 8900, and after using the Storm which is a great phone but the 8900 won it for light ness plus i have spare chargers for the storm,

Just a shame about the 3G but hay i can live with that,

does any one know easy it is to swap between the 2 devices, using BES

Once you have them both set up, each time you put you SIM card in one of them, you will experience a new BES activation, which will take a few mintes. Other than that, you should be OK.

Just ask your BES Administrator for a new Enterprise Activation password. On the new device go to Options > Advanced Options > Enterprise Activation, enter the data that the Admin gave you, pull up the menu and select "Activate Now"

Only one handset can be active against an account on BES, so when you activate one it will deactivate the other.

If you have Desktop Manager installed and configured against your BES, you can also use this for a cabled activation, but I prefer the wireless EA option.

I rarely use the "Device Switch Wizard" in Desktop Manager, I'd rather reinstall applications than port them over. Also, BES will send down a pre-pop of mail, and resynch backed up data (obviously the extent of this depends on BES config)

Not strictly true. BES will not reactivate a device based on SIM. You need an EA password, or a properly configured Desktop Manager client. That's the security of BES!

Interesting. I've never had to ask for or create a new password when when swapping between BlackBerrys. When activating a new one for the first time, yes. Good to know. Thx.
