How do I know whether my BB is using the wi-fi or 3G connection? When I am fairly close to my router and wi-fi is on, browsing and using the app store seems fairly slow, so maybe it is using 3G rather than wi-fi which is annoying. Can anyone give me some info on this?

if the wifi symbol shows and is solid (not greyed out) you are using wifi. A forum search would have also answered this.

Click on attenna and turn on wifi. Click on wifi icon and start with scan for networks. Find your location. From there, you can set up that when your device is that location your device will switch to wifi
