Default unable to delete a recurring birthday reminder.

Please help me,I've been trying to delete a birthday reminder that has already passed on the 23rd of May but its still there,I did everything that needs to be done when you deleting an appointment.

Have you tried to reset the phone by pulling the battery out for a few seconds and then putting it back in?
