I haven't taken a picture in a while and I can't seem to figure out how to zoom in when taking a picture. I thought it was just moving the scroll ball but that is not working. I could swear that is how I used to do it.

How do I do this function?

Welcome to the forums.

The trackball does the zooming, at least on my Sprint Curve. Is your trackball working for other things? If so, then I'd do a hard reboot (remove battery while device is on, then put back in after 20 seconds) and see if that resolves the issue with the camera zoom.

I've got an 8330 w/ 4.5.0.77 OS. Here's some shortcut keys that work for me:

3/R = zoom in
9/C = zoom out
1/W = fit to screen
7/Z = zoom to the actual size

Interesting. None of those shortcuts works on my 8330 using 4.5.0.97.

also my volume keys on the right side zoom in and out

but that is a digital zoom, IMHO you're better off moving the phone in to the close up and cropping later if needed - better resolutions that way.
