I used to be able to play youtube videos through my blackberry browser and through Opera mini. It suddenly stopped working. I can access youtube but when I click on play video, nothing, I mean nothing, happens. However, I can still play youtube videos through the bolt browser on the same phone. I tried browser configuration and youtube optimization tests on the blackberry browser but it still doesn't work. Does anyone have an idea how to solve this problem? Thanks.

Same problem here. I talked with someone (while off duty) at my carrier (VZW) and they are stumped.

Mine worked as recently as 5/2/10, but has not worked since. I have not tried the Bolt browser, but both Opera Mini and the standard Blackberry browser do not launch the video like it did a few weeks ago. I too can access youtube via m.youtube.com, but when I click on play video, nothing happens.

Any help?

Alright, so I un-installed Opera 5.0 and youtube worked again. Re-installed Opera 4.2 and youtube still worked.

It seems the culprit is Opera 5.0.

yes, Opera 5.0 seems to be issue here with media streaming via BB Browser. i updated Opera Mini to 5.0 and then i couldn't stream youtube videos. i decided to get rid of Operat Mini 5.0 b/c it runs like CRAP on the BB Curve 8330. now, my BB browser can stream media content.

I don't have Opera on my recently purchased Curve 8900, just the standard Blackberry browser, but the YouTube videos don't play at all. I get "Error Playing. An error has occurred attempting to play media". There seem to be loads of threads on the same subject all over the Internet, but no definitive answer.
