Default Emails read on Handheld seem unread in client

Please Login to Remove!

Hi,
I have a customer that has BES installed. In one of the Handhelds, when a user reads an email and moves that email to another folder, although it looks read and moved at handheld, at his Outlook looks unread and in Inbox.
All emails and messages are working perfectly well and no other problem exists.
Any ideas of what could be wrong?
Thanks in advance,
Argi

Welcome to the forums!

Is the user able to have deletions sync between their BB and Outlook? Delete in one place deletes in the other?

EDIT: Maybe this will help: BlackBerry Search Results

(I should have thought logically check the device is setup correctly messages>options>reconcile options> delete on handheld and device)
Also check folder redirection on the BES

Should have the correct service books in the device without them you will have issues,(although I don’t think that’s the issue with you)

I have found that my company users go out of the country the device picks up other network settings. When they come back to there original country the device is sketchy.

Resolution? if you have checked the basics ?
If your not that hot on BES little things like that you can run around for hours, 9 times out of 10 I back the device up to a PC, wipe the handheld down. Do an advance restore only restoring the key stuff like phone book messages phone log, DO NOT restore all as it could send bad settings back to the phone.

Delete the user of the bes, restore user, takes 5 minutes max! all back to normal

Your using a different setup, BIS, you don’t get that kind of synchronization.
but..... yahoo and gamil have gone into alliances with blackberry so you will see allot of changes if you use those providers.

There's a good reason for this... With BIS, gmail does not reconcile read/unread marks but yahoo does.
