Default mp3 problems

Please Login to Remove!

In general the mp3 player in my pearl works great. But a few songs (out of hundreds) will not play. I pick a song from an album, the player loads, and then before any sound is produced the player starts jumping to all of the different tracks on the album. None of the tracks ever plays, it just keeps switching between them. Any one else ever seen this? TIA!

Wirelessly posted

If it keeps happening on the same files, then maybe those files are corrupt and need replacing.

That's what I thought too...but replacing does not help. I even re-ripped them. And they play just fine in windows media player.

Are they protected somehow (a la DRM)?

Nope, no protection. And the sample rate isn't too high, because I have other songs that play that have the same rate.

I solved the issue by re-ripping with iTunes instead of windows media player. The Pearl doesn't seem to mind the m4a file format.
