Default Options for Louder/More Visable 7520?

Please Login to Remove!

ok... searched the forum but seems everyone is having issues with the 7520 not being loud enough... great... work buys me something i am supposed to use and respond to yet i can't hear it when i get a DC...

my biggest problem is when at the gym... i can't carry it on my body while running, so vibrate does no good... i can't hear it when surrounded by machines... my best bet is the flashing light... i basically made a "gym" profile that does everything (escalating, flashing led, the works)... still only works marginally...

can anyone answer these questions?

1. if i get a bluetooth earpiece, will i hear the ring through the earpiece? that might help, assuming the earpiece stays on when running...

2. does anyone make an external (bluetooth?) lightsource of some kind? it would be real nice to be able to place a small strobe light in front of me (BB to big and bulky) on the machine... that would be great to get my attention...

3. along the same lines (better than #2 actually), does anyone make a small (again maybe bluetooth?) vibration module that can be clipped on next to the body and relay vibration notifications from the BB? that would be really good at getting my attention... and would be small and light enough to stay put during physical activity...

4. anything else i can do to make the BB get my attention in these situations that i haven't thought of?

thanks for the help... i can think of a thousand uses for #3 so if you can point me in the direction of that (assuming it exists) i would be very happy...

I have the jabra 250 headset for my BB and yes you do hear the phone ring through the headset. The headset is pretty secure on my head although I haven't used it in the gym setting. I believe there is also a vibrating bluetooth headset for Jabra but don't quote me on that one.

The vibrating BT headset from Jabra is the BT250V. I use the BT250 and it's loud enough.

Try strapping your BB to your arm instead of having it at your waist which is what I am assuming. You should be able to feel the vibration on your arm better than on your waist during physical activity. Your best bet is to get a BT headset that rings through the earpiece such as the BT250.

Wlee309... the arm thing is a great idea... I didn't think about that... Does anyone know of something that is designed for that... Doesn't have to be exactly for the 7520 but just something close... I can rig up the rest... Thanks for the idea!
