Exchange 2003 Standard (6.5.7638.1) or from Add/Remove Programs it’s 4.1.4 (Bundle 143)
BES “Blackberry Manager” (4.1.4.15)
We just implemented our Blackberry’s in April and so I’m still very new to BES and Blackberries. We have the 30 user max “BES Professional” (Small Business BES), Exchange 2003, and 20 BB users most of them are within the same time zone as the BES server.
We do have a few remote users. One of them has reported an issue with calendar appointment times. Where appointments in his Outlook calendar are correct (ie 9am) but on the BB they are one hour ahead (ie 10am). Appointments will synch either direction, from BB-to-Outlook and Outlook-to-BB but the hour time issue shows up in both directions.
I thought it was just a time-zone issue but the user is in the Eastern time zone, his laptop & BB 8130 are set to the Eastern Time zone (-5 GMT) and the correct date and time are showing on both devices. Our Exchange 2003 & BES professional server is running on Server 2003 set to Mountain Time (-7 GMT). BES Professional and Exchange are on the same server too. Plus, wouldn’t that make it 2 hours off instead of just one?
I figured maybe some kind of DST issue, but we’re past the pre-2007 DST dates too. Exchange 2003 & the server was DST patched back in 2007 and since it’s a new deployment of BES I thought it’d be patched for DST too.
I did find the 2007 DST BES for Exchange fix here:
BlackBerry But I haven’t had a chance to read that whole article yet so that may not be the fix.
Have any of you seen this issue and is the above link the BST Fix it or am I looking in the wrong place?
