Wirelessly posted

Looks like My Location doesn't work with 2.2.0. Is there any other version available?

Got it working by download BES version and installing through PocketMac.

I've attached the alx and cod file here. I had to edit the alx file because it didn't have the 4.6 OS version.

Hmmm didn´t work for me.

GMM still hangs at 90% after asking me to allow GPS information and shuts down with "Uncaught execption: Application GoogleMaps(229) is not responding process terminated"

Any tipps??????? to get GMM running on my T-Mobile Germany Bold with a Vodafone Germany SIM?

I can't post links yet, but if you do a google search for "google maps 2.2.2" you'll find links that you can use to download the program directly instead of just from wwwgooglecom gmm

You need to download and install Blackberry Desktop Manager (Windows) or PocketMac (Mac). You use one of those apps to install applications.

I've had my 9000 2 weeks and one of the first things i did was install Google Maps - it did identify it as a 46, but it allowed me to download it and it seems to run absolutely fine - in fact we used it to drive from Bruseels to Calais over the bank holiday weekend.

My question is: Is Google Maps running on a BB Bold with Blackberry Enterprise Server connection or only BIS connection?

I tried now everything:

- wiping the device
- deleting everything reinstalling the Software.
- reactivating

etc

without success. GMM is still not running and hangs after asking permission to get GPS information..

It seems like everything else, working for some and not others. Google maps use to work with my curve, then it stopped working. Tried reinstalling it several times OTA and the program would hang at 90% when trying to access info. After, I tried installing it through DM and it worked like a charm. Now same issue with BOLD, worked at first, now it doesn't and just hangs at 90%

I was able to download and install it, had to mess around with my browser identification a couple times.

But when i go to load up the app, i have to click through a couple permissions and it hangs on loading, about 25% through the bar with a number 3. then after a while of waiting, it says it requires a network connection. I have both 3G, and wifi on and working correctly, so i donno, i'm getting fed up.

This worked great... at first. Then, when I ran Google Maps again, it got endlessly locked up in the Allow/Deny permission dialog. Checking "Don't ask me again" had no effect. I had to do a soft reset to get rid of the dialog box.

I seems that we will have to wait for an gmm update that addresses v4.6 compatibility.

Regards,

Carl
