Im upgrading from .162 to .190 before I upgrade to .216 as I think more people are having problems with .216 than they did with .190. I am hoping I dont lose anything that I need that it may not back up, dont wanna have to call the tech guys again.

The original Roger's OS caused constant rebooting in the US on ATT. I had no problems in Canada with the original Rogers OS. Rogers recommended to upgrade to .162, which I did when back in Canada, to avoid any possible issues with BES reinitializing. Since then I have used .167 (the ATT OS), but found that it used more memory than any other I have tried. I also have used .185 (used less memory than .167) and immediately upgraded to .190 (just because it was available - did not use .185 long enought to give an opioion). I have been on .216 for over a week, with no real issues. I was on .190 for well over a month before upgrading to .216. My feeling now is that .190 is the best, being just a little bit better in pulling in 3g signals than .216. I keep my phone on 3g only in order to prevent going to edge in degraded signal areas, such as my work place on the 26th floor.

Wirelessly posted (supercalifragilisticexpialidoc)

I've been running OS 4.6.0.210 and I tried .219 and it wasn't for me, it locked mine up so I went back to .210, seems like the best for me.

Default Os 162

I've had some reception trouble since updating to 162 last week.
My bold will lose its connection and show "SOS"
Turning it off and on sometimes gets the connection back.
I've also tried turning off and on the connection through the "manage connections" menu, it sometimes holds the connection sometimes not.
Any help or suggestions much appreciated.

Default Bold OS YoYo

Been treating the Bold like a yoyo trying to improve OS performance.
up and down and up and down. So many different opinions from the same OS that I believe the BEST OS is the one that works for you. Try one and another then use the most stable. No OS is going to resolve ATTs Vendor Code 3G management. There are other solutions.

4.6.0.210
Memory - Stable
Battery - Reliable 20 hrs (voice usage kills)
Radios - Consistent (2G - WiFi)

I wanted to make sure I understand what you guys were referring to when you mention OS version .216. I've got the standard ATT version and it says V4.6.0.167, but platform 4.0.0.157. Are you guys talking about the version, or the platform? Thanks.

We are talking about version. For example, I am v4.6.0.216 (Platform 4.0.0.183).
