Default 4.5 email question!

Please Login to Remove!

On 4.2 I was able to delete my emails from both device and my Yahoo inbox. Now with 4.5 I don't see that option. Anyone have any ideas?

Messages > Options > Email Reconciliation > Delete from = Prompt or Mailbox & Handheld.

Thanks, just checked and it was set on Mailbox & Handheld. It is not working for some reason. With 4.2 OS never had a problem. I am running 4.5.0.81 now. Will change it to prompt and see if that makes a difference.

Give it a try. If that doesn't work, try to pull the batteryl (with the device powered on) for about 30 seconds, then try again.

Let us know how things go.

Did the battery bull about an hour ago. Re sent service books, Just sent an email to myself about a minute ago and even though I changed it to prompt, it did not prompt me to delete it from mailbox. What email should be set under Message services? My device email or my yahoo?

Which ever account you want it to delete on both the handheld and the mailbox. If you go to messaging services and change the account up there, it will give the options for each account. If you want all your accounts to delete on both. Set all the accounts that way.

If you have your device email (not sure what you mean by that. Maybe you're on a BES and it is your corporate email) set to prompt but your yahoo is not, any email you get from yahoo will not prompt or delete on both. I would check the setting for all of your accounts to verify they are set how you want them.

I am on BIS and my mailbox services have been the same since I installed this OS. Not sure if it is a network issue right now or not. Could it be OS related? Never had this issue with 4.2

Others are reporting issues with BIS maintenance. It could be related to that and just a coincedence that you upgraded your OS at this time and are having these issues. Or it could be an OS issue. It is hard to say.

I would check out the threads here for you OS and see if anyone else has encountered this issue. It may clear things up a bit for you.
