Thanks for your writeups, Mark - when I upgraded last night while watching a movie the first thing I did was walk through and set up everything the way you recommend. I do think I like "Mobile View" better than the page overview, but the jury is still out on this...

I definitely misspoke. I do like the idea of viewing the sites as if I were on a desktop and I also like the RSS feeds.
Now I see whu many of the users on this site are excited about it. I definitely misspoke the other day.

Has anyone been able to put ESPN RSS in the Opera Feeds?
I am able to do other sites.

Wow. I'm liking this MUCH more than BB Browser. I do have a couple of questions:

I can't find the "fit to width."

Is this the same as "Mobile View" in Beta 3?

Also, is there a way to change the AMOUNT of zoom (like a zoom in and a zoom out)?

Thanks Mark, for all the stuff you put up to help everyone!

Correct. They have now renamed "Fit to Width" into "Mobile View".

No, there is no way to change the amount of zooming, although changing font size can help improve the appearance of the zoomed view. Zoomed out view is based on the width of the webpage, and is not adjustable.

Thanks Mark for answering that! It was bugging me not being able to find those answers.

I gradually lose the connection and have to reboot often.
Any special setting I need to have?

Every single time I launch the new OM 4.0, the program delays while it is "Gathering Information about my Fonts". This takes at least 5-7 minutes and, as I said, happens everytime I launch. I have the 7130c 4.2.1.101 OS. (had the same problem on the 4.2.1.96 OS but tried the upgrade thinking it might help). I've tried re-installing---- first had the US version and then re-installed the international version--- nothing works. This makes the program unusable. Any suggestions? Am I the only one- I can't believe this problem would be unique to me.

EXACTLY the problem I'm having. I'd really be interested to know why this happens. I have uninstalled Opera until this gets settled because I'm sick of pulling the battery!

I am glad I am not alone. I also suspect that when my Opera slows down my bb browser stops functioning.

I'm running the new OM 4.0 on my AT&T BB Curve 8300 and it works flawlessly. I wished it would have overwritten the existing Beta 3 and kept my bookmarks, but that's ok as it didn't take long to build them back up again. If anyone knows how to do that, it might make a valuable posting for those considering the upgrade.

Congrats to the Opera folks for getting out a very nice and useful free app!

I'm glad to hear you're having to do a battery pull every 15 minutes. Not glad that you're suffering, though, just glad to know I'm not alone!!

I was thinking about installing 3.1. Is there a big difference? Maybe it will work better.

Anyone else getting a request for "low level network request" on 4.0 when launched? I am on my ATT 8310.

Here's a bunch of shortcuts for the final version of Opera Mini 4.
#1 Enter address
#2 Bookmarks
#3 Go to top/bottom/text start
#4 Start page
#5 History
#6 Page information
#7 Add bookmark
#8 Settings
#9 Search
#0 Reload
## Forward

These shortcut reminders can also be brought up in a nice transparent HUD by simply hitting # and waiting a second or two.
