Hey guys, besides the crippling on the VZW, do both of these phones have the same internal setups like memory, processor, etc or is the VZW version better?

Thanks

The VZW 8330 does have a larger device memory (96mb if I recall correctly) vs 64MB for the 8310. Otherwise, basically the same. The 8310 has built-in working out of the box GPS.

I think the 8310 doesn't have 4.3 software yet as the 8330 has 4.3.127 out of the box allowing you to stream videos from utube but I might be not up to date on the latest os updates for at&t

Wirelessly posted (Verizon 8830)

8130 has the 4.3. Unless you are set on getting a smart type keyboard, the curve has more to offer

The GPS for the 8310 is great, but I like the 8330 more for two important reasons:
1. EVDO data speeds
2. Video recording (I have cute nephews)

Good luck on your choice, but I don't really think you can go wrong with either as long as ATT and VZW both have the requisite coverage in your area (which should be the most important factor in your decision making).

I believe it really comes down to which provider offers the best service in your area.

I have both. for my area the difference is really based on on EVDO vs EDGE if you do a lot of surfing. 8330 does use 4.3 which has a bit better browser, a better view in email, etc. Ultimately I am sure both will go to 4.5 so that advantage will be short lived. At the end of the day it still comes down to the previous post for which carrier has better coverage in your area and the areas you travel. One other thing to consider is that I have AT&T as my long distance and local phone and under their share program, all minutes between home and mobile are free.
