I bought a 8110 unlocked from ebay. The phone is unlocked, but as usual the PIN is still locked to the vodafone network. I have been trying to contact Vodafone to get it released, but it's a long process since I am doing it through the eForums. Also the other problem I am having is that the person I bought it from is Chinese and doesn't speak good english, and he doesn't understand what I am trying to tell him to do.
I read on another thread about something about using 2 blackberries to "change device" in the BIS accounts.
I currently have a Blackberry bold on the ATT network with BIS (that I use) that was purchased from ATT.
My other Blackberry that I am trying to pin release from vodafone UK is the 8110. I DO have access to the BIS account on Vodafone, because it was never originally set up, so i did that.
what do I do, and will it mess up my phone with the BIS network be reregistering it with vodafone.
Thanks in advance for those who know what I am talking about,
Best way to do it is either contact the seller, which have apparently tried to do with no success, or contact their carrier. If you are also an ATT user, maybe see if they can do it. Be nice and explain the issue and see what happens. If you don't succeed, wait a few minutes and try again. Eventually you will get a sympathetic person or supervisor who can escalate it and get it fixed.
Did you purchase the phone new or used/refurbished? I have a Vodafone branded 8110 coming from a HK ebayseller so I'm a little worried. He says it's 100% new and never used with over 9600 positive feedback, but you know how ebay is....
I bought a used blackberry 8100 and got a email data plan with FIDO. but apparently my pin is locked to O2. How can i solve this issue so i can receive my emails on FIDO network.
