Default .DS_Store files (Connecting on Mac)

Please Login to Remove!

I connect the Pearl to my Powerbook via USB (to install ringtones and pictures). Once I disconnect, my Media folders have doubles of each item. One item is the actual file; the other is a ._ file, and there's also a .ds_store file. I know this is normal when connecting to a Mac, but does anyone know how to either delete the files, or hide them so I don't have to scroll past them every time I want to search my media? Thanks!

they are just dummy files (.ds_files) just delete them...they are put there for information when your mac has accessed that folder..they put them there as well on your mac but they are hidden files...they contain information like your folder set up i.e. like the view you have set up, the way files are organized etc.

I realize that, but I can't delete them. That's why I'm asking if anyone knows how... the BB won't let me delete them.

that's weird i can delete mine..only other way you can is hook it up to a PC and then you can see the files and delete them..i also think you might be able to use TinkerTool(mac app) to delete the .ds_file's from your computer

You can follow this link and make the files not show up on network drives
