Default Connections to Exchange Server

Please Login to Remove!

We are running BES 5.0.2 with Exchange 2010. Yes, it has been a difficult upgrade!

The Exchange guys now want me to tell them what connections and how many connections users are making to the Exchange Server. Is there a way to do this?

Rule of thumb is that for each BES user, it equates to 4-8 regular Exchange users with regards to resources. This may have changed over the years on how BES and Exchange interact though (pre-Exchange 2010).

3.75 per bes user for 2003
half for 2007
half again for 2010

This is used for IOPS to calculate drive arrays.
Since 2010 uses RAM for mailbox access it is about a 1 to 1 ratio now.

the above are in addition to your current mailbox users.
