Red face Changing Default Homepage 8520

Please Login to Remove!

Hello,

carring on from here - http://www.blackberryforums.com/gene...-homepage.html

I am having the same problem.
I have a current data package which does work (am using twitter, and can navigate to google when required)

I want to set Google as my homepage but can't.

I have the following settings.

In Browser Config
Browser ID - blackberry
default search Provider - Google
homepage addrewss - O2 Active (this is not editable)

In General props
All left at set by BB

In Cashe settings
all have been cleared

In Gears
No Sites

The BB is a sim-free 8520 and I have an O2 contract sim with BB bolt-on inserted. Everything else is working OK.

I have tried everything mentioned in the above linked thread without success - please help!!

You need to go to the page you want as the default, and when its loaded, click menu - options - [i think] general options, near where it states the homepage address, there should now be a "use current site" (or similiar) button, clicking that will then change it to the current page.

I have tried this as it was mentioned in the initial postings, but it doesn't work.
I have searched everywhere and there are no selectable options / buttons refering to 'set currebt page as homepage' or similar.

Do you have any further thoughts that may help?

I have OS 5.2.0.67 loaded onto a BB-8520

thanks in advance.

1. Open browser
2. hit menu key and go too options.
3. choose browser configuration.
- set browser to : internet explorer
- browser identification: blackberry
- start page: set to "home page"
- default search provider: google
- home page address: http:// Google

hit menu key and save....close browser, when you open your browser again it will open up with google.
