Looks like all AT&T smartphones will be 3g in a few months per the company's CEO Rahlph De la Vega

From Phonescoop.com

"AT&T CEO Ralph de la Vega confirmed that all of AT&T's smartphones, including BlackBerries and the Apple iPhone, will be running on AT&T's 3G network within months."

kind of amusing, because the current ones still arent 3G. So unless they plan on refusing to sell any non 3G smartphone (the 8120 they just launched, or the 8310, their best selling BB currently) i find this hard to believe.

Well, to be fair, he didn't say anything about not selling non-3G smartphones in a few months, but rather that in a few months newly released ones should or will be 3G. At least that's how I read it.

I wonder if Ralph is going to replace all the 3G chipsets currently out on the market for AT&T handsets so the phone battery will not run down in 7 hours or less.
