I am running BES 4.0, Exchange 2003 and Outlook 2003 on XP Pro.

I use Outlook rules to filter mail so that only people in my Outlook Contact list are forwarded to my BB. I do this by adding a folder to Outlook called Inbox-BB. I then use the Outlook rules to move email to Inbox-BB if the sender is in my local contact list. I then redirect all mail in Inbox-BB to my BB.

The problem is that it will only send mail to my BB about every half hour. If I turn off the Outlook rules and redirect from Inbox the sync happens almost instantly.

I note that the rules move emails to the Inbox-BB folder in a timely manner but the BES only seems to check the the folder every half hour, or so .

The half hour delay is a real pain when trying to reply to people promptly.

An help or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Try using the filters in Redirector Settings in Desktop Manager instead of Outlook rules. They're specifically designed for this sort of task.
