Does one HAVE to use Roxio to transfer files to/from BBB? Can Windows Media Player be used?

Desktop Manager uses Roxio. There are scenarios where you use both however.

I personally like the total control of using Windows Explorer to move files to/from my microSDHC card. One of the main reasons I do not like to use Windows Media Player to sync my device is I tend to keep higher bit-rate mp3s on my computer than I prefer on my BlackBerry. In 90% of cases, 128kbit mp3s are just fine for playing thru my BlackBerry and the included earphones. So, I tend to encode my music before transferring to my device. It cuts down on space considerably if you're starting with 256kbit or 320kbit mp3 sources.
