Hey just reading some News about TMO releasing 3G finally on the Network tomorrow, it's Voice Only.... Will that make our BB Signal a lot stronger and does that effect anything else on our BB's?

3G for voice doesnt make much sense, since 3G is for data.

i dont think the term 3G applies to voice. I am fairly certain its only a data thing. 3G voice is just *another* network for voice to run on, a different frequency that users wont be able to use. unless i am quite mistaken

a mistake in my opinion because if this is true, they'll have to roll out devices that would support this new voice-only network, correct?

Maybe our voices will travel at Mach 2 instead of Mach 1?

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry 8100 Pearl)

Even then, with the addition of 3G, users would have to buy new BB's that have 3G radios in them. Too bad the radios aren't software upgradeable.

Not at all. Current TMO BB's don't operate on their 3G frequencies. Also -- as has already been mentioned, there are no 3G GSM BB's yet.

Verizon EVDO is 3G, and if the device is EVDO capable, doesn't that make it 3G capable?

3G on GSM carriers was the implication, I believe.

Have you called TMO to see about data outages in your area? You have decent CSR's (unlike those of us on at&t) so there's no excuse to not call.
