Red face I have questions questions. Please help

Hello All.

I am a law student who is looking to get a blackberry to check all my email and web browse. I really dont need it for phone (i have a cell phone that I love - the razr - on a different carrier). Anyway, after doing the research it seems like the 7290 and T Mobiles Unlimited Data only plan for $29.99/mon. would be best. anyone have any thoughts on this? Is there a better deal? Shoud I hold out for the 8700 (the new one). I have cell service currently with Verizon, but 1. im on a family share plan for 2 years so there is no changing of the contract there and 2. their blackberries seem to be way overpriced. I just want to have the ability to check about 4 different email accounts - no corporate email now- but I may add my law firm email (if they allow me to) later this summer. What do I need to know? Thanks in advance. This forum is great.

T- Mobile seems to be the cheapest for data. Any blackberry is great for emails. I get my works, home, and Clients emails on the blackberry. I will never go back to a regular phone.

Wirelessly posted (8700c: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.0) BlackBerry8700/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/102)

Seems like a good choice if you just want to check email. Note if you add it to a corporate server certain IT policies can be hard to remove.

what about AIM? will i have a problem using it on the 7290? Is that generally included when they talk about unlimited data? Sorry for all the stupid questions, I'm new to this.

Also, would i be able to sync the blackberry with my Microsoft Outlook on my personal laptop?

Thanks in advance.

Not the OZ client that T-Mobile includes. That uses SMS, and that is not included in the BB only plan.

Yes, you can use AIM. Unless you add the $14.99 ulimited SMS option though, it will cost you money.
