Hello all,

I am currently a college student and I own a 8700g on the t-mobile network. I play baseball and at times we must bus over 8 hours one way for weekend road trips. On these occasions, I borrow a laptop from the athlete academic resource center to do homework while on the road. Anyway, the problem is that our student accounts on university computers do not have permission to install software. As such, I haven't been able to install the BB desktop manager software which is required to use the BB as a modem. I have used my BB as a modem on my own computer and am knowledgeable about how it is done. I was curious if I could possibly install the software onto a USB storage device prior to possibly use it or if there were any other work arounds to connect to the internet while on the go, as I would much rather be able to complete assignments during the bus ride rather than at 2 am when we arrive at our destination. Any ideas or assistance would be greatly appreciated.

You need install privileges. That's it...

Make yourself a ultimate boot CD foR windows and use password restore.

That is pretty much your only option (or google up the sala password manager and make it bootable).

Security wise if you can touch a computer there is no way to keep you out.

And be aware that at best, that is the last time you'll get a loaner machine from the university, and at worse you can get expelled.

Your actions will be viewed as actively hacking into university resources, and that is not held in high regards.
