Default getDeviceId() in Simulator....

Please Login to Remove!

Hi,
I am using BB simulator and its PIN no is 2100000A.
But when I retrieve pin no using “getDeviceId()”, it gives 553648138
Why is that?
It should give 2100000A.

getDeviceId()

I found that ...

2100000a base 16 == 553643138 base 10.
need to use the hexadecimal version

Is that true...

actually you are.

Integer.toHexString(DeviceInfo.getDeviceId())
converts the PIN into the common hex-format

hth,
simon
