Verizon has a lot of BB users. Its more likely, then not that they will get the 9000. It just will take about a year. By the way some were saying the same thing about the Curve and Verizon, with some saying they would skip Curve all together. So much for predictions.

I cannot imagine that RIM would not come out with a version of the 9000 for Verizon. We are talking about the second largest carrier in the US, that is a lot of coins left lying on the table. It may be a different configuration but I am willing to bet that something will surface in about a year.

I myself had to leave AT&T for a business phone, I have had a BB, iPhone, and a MOTO Q thru AT&T and all of them had bad reception at my office. Now with the VZ Curve, I get good reception at my office so I am keeping my fingers crossed for a VZ 9000 in a year. When I get away from my office the AT&T phones work great by the way. I still have 5 AT&T phones for family use and like them.

So basically there's two derivatives of the Javelin, just titled differently to their corresponding specs according to whatever the network can support? i.e. Verizon with EV-DO and AT&T/T-Mobile with the device that has EDGE coverage?

Also what is EV-DO? Is it a faster version of HSDPA? I live in the UK and have never heard of EV-DO, let alone any rollout coverage

I'm thinking really long and hard about this... I don't know... I'm ACTUALLY kind of leaning towards the Javelin because of the display ... Even though the Bold will be out a lot earlier (months, hopefully?)... I dunno... It'll leave me time to read people's reviews about the Bold's battery life. I'm a very hardcore user during the week. On weekends I barely touch my phone unless it's for MP3 usage.

Javelin or Bold... I'm sure Einstein had this same dilemma. WWED (what would Einstein do?) lol. Bold is sexy :( Javelin is thinner... Bold is faster ... Javelin has a larger screen. Bold is cool. Javelin has a 3 mpx cam! ... ARG!

I have been grappling with trying to love my BlackBerry Storm because it really is a nice device. However, I havenxxx8217;t had that great of a time typing on it yet. And yes, I know it takes some getting used to, but to me, the whole keypad and touch-then click just doesnxxx8217;t flow well. In my opinion, RIM should have taken cues from the G1 and iPhone and configured better touch technology.

The processor is also a factor in how fast a webpage loads.

Take your EDGE Blackberry and compare it to a 3G iPhone and you'll find that the iPhone wil tranfer the data just fine,but will struggle to render the page.

I know its not an apples-apples comparison,but 3G aint all its cracked up to be.In exchange for loading a page 10 seconds faster you give up 30% of your battery life.Assuming of course you even have steady 3G coverage.
