Well then don't buy the POINTLESS Bold which will ONLY work for YOU with 3G. Some OTHER people may feel that the BOLD, even without 3G will be FINE on T-MOBILE.

And it isn't CRIPPLED as it was NEVER ADVERTISED to work on T-MOBILE'S 3G network.

God it is hard to type like that.

There just MAY be PEOPLE who FEEL OTHERWISE.

But BGR "confirmed" it and people believe it. Why won't it be out on Friday? It was confirmed!

Right. I mean, aren't they the "official" source of info for all carriers. So if BGR says it, even if the carrier or manufacturer doesn't, then it's official.

(I always crack up when I read the "BGR confirms" rumor.)

Don't want to argue but 90%?? Seriously? No way. They are at best 60/40, at BEST. Yes they break some good news, but BGR is wrong a lot of the time.

They get the products right, but the dates are all guesses and they are rumors and subject to change. Just like this confirmed date.

if BGR's had said the release date was december something i would have believed it but to say the phone will be released on black friday just makes BGR look foolish(in my opinion)

I would LOVE for the Curve 8900 to be released on Black Friday. But in October, when I returned my G1 (less than 24 hours after I bought it), the RIM rep for the territory happened to be in the store and the T-Mo guys asked him if the 8900 would be out in 2008 and the RIM rep said, "No, not this year."

So, I have my heart set on getting a shiny new 8900 sometime in 2009. (Sigh.)

Might be coming sooner than years end. It's not in upcoming yet, however the old curve has been removed from Employee Purchase. If they run this like the G1 or Kickstart, Employees will get about a 2 weeks before the public

Why does a Rogers release mean that it will be out on TMobile soon?

And rogers didn't technically fully release the device... Its not in any store, anywhere... All my contacts don't know when its coming out.

If you read some of the bloggers then you'll see its 50/50 at this point, most rogers enmployees can't see it, however some people are saying they have ordered it via the phone. I called myself and the rep said he can see it on his screen.... So its iffy right now...

When my contacts is back on Monday at the office I'll be finding out the real story.

I think it is suffice to say that T-Mo will not have the Javelin until the Q1-2009. All the speculations are quite entertaining nevertheless. (TmoNews Blog predicts Q1 with 80% probability.)

Yup, T-Mobile should hurry up. I have been with them for several years (since they were still Voicestream). You get the most bang for the buck with the monthly plans, but I am getting tired of waiting for a nice new device. My two year old Pearl has been a great little work horse, but I am ready to upgrade to the 8900.

I get the feeling that T-Mobile will eventually lose a lot of their BB customers if they don't start rolling some new stuff out to the market.

Do you think that the 8900 will process edge faster because of the better hardware? Will it make the web browser feel faster?

Ditto.
Been with them since Voicestream too.
The Curve 8320 was definitely worth the wait but man, as always, they are so slow in rolling out the goods.
I still dont understand how ATT puts out one high-end device after another and TMobile cant come anywhere close.
Especially with TMobile being international, hard to believe its a "money issue".

But yeah, 8900, hurry it up already!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
