I also have a screen that creeks...but simple solution is to not press there..as why would you be anyways.

I have a feeling a lot of people are returning 8900's for reasons based on stupidity. No offense. Makes me pissed when I hear about people being on there 4th or 6th 8900...yet when I have a LEGIT problem with my phone i have to jump through hoops to get someone to understand my problem @ TMO.

Totally agreed. I had my device backordered before I received it as did many others, perhaps people returning their devices for "defects" such as this are one of the reasons for being low in supply. My phone does this creaking noise WHEN I touch that part of the screen, but that's probably the first and last time I'll ever touch it there. I couldn't care less if it creaks when touched there as there are are no rational reasons for touching it there in the first place.

I happened to notice this when I applied my screen protector. At the time, I thought it was the plastic from the protector making the creek....

Oh well, as long as the phone works, who cares!
