Hehe...my bf says the same thing...and it's true...I get totally "geeked out" as he would say over gadgets and such. I'm still somewhat of a lurker here, but thought I'd put my input into this thread. I got my 8900 about a week ago and I absolutely love it. Went from the pearl to the 8900. My biggest thing was learning how to type on it. People say the pearl keys are small, but they don't have anything on the qwerty keyboard on the 8900. Congrats on your new bb!

I agree. I go home from work and this gadget is the only thing which stays on my right hand.

I'm so glad I'm not the only geek then. ;)

I just checked UPS and my phone arrives on Thursday!! YAY!!

I keep looking at pictures of it online. So psyched. And I do have a job, a life, and friends, I swear. ;) I just am a little obsessed with this stuff. Hehe.

It came a day early!!!

I am charging it up now. It's so pretty. Even my boyfriend had to agree (as he rolled his eyes) that it was a pretty swish looking berry.

Is it my imagination or is the charger a little bit different to previous berries?

I beleive that they switched to Micro USB ports on the Storm and 8900.... You can buy converters! Congrats on the device! Enjoy! We are here for your questions!

So far-- I LOVE it!
I cannot stop looking at it. I mean, in comparison with my Curve 8320 (which looks like a archaic brick next to this), it's unreal.

There's a few things I really love: the screen-- so clear! Night and day with the 8320. I also love the way the apps are laid out-- kind of iPhone style, nice and clean, if you will. It's much faster than my last phone which is also a plus. I think it's much easier to type on this one too.

The only things that I don't love, but will get used to: for one, the charging side and convenience keys are in new places. It's a little awkward. Also, I really loved the theme on my old BB-- I think it was the Dimension Today or something. I liked having my day's activities in the calendar show up on the main screen. I need reminders like that in front of my face.

But that's about it, for the moment. I am still exploring the phone. But so far... it's LOVE! :-D

I hear you thats the only gripe I have with the phone is the location of the charging port its rather uncomfortable using while it needs to be charged.

Hi Everyone, I have been waiting to upgrade to the 8900 from my 8320 on T-Mobile. As long as my exiting plan is Grandfathered, I think I will plan to do the upgrade. My present plan is unlimited Data,Text, MMS, Internet, 1,000 minutes/month at $59.00/month.
My 8320 runs even with a top memory around 12.8 and can get as low as 7.2. I do a reset or battery pull every couple of days. I heard about the complaints on the new location of the charging port on the 8900, but I think I will get use to that.
Thanks!!

FWIW, I have had the 8900 for about a month (switched from Verizon to TMO).

The first two 8900's failed within a week - bad OS is what I was told. TMO was good about replacing each faulty 8900 immediately as I was within the first 15 days of purchase. They did say that after 15 days, I'd have to go through a process to get a new 8900.

Nevertheless, still learning how to use the 8900. I will say that I have received a few garbled phone calls that dropped after a few seconds (all calls with Verizon were clear). So about 10 minutes of incoherent (i.e. bad reception) calls on a 1500 minutes/mo plan within Southern California,...

I'm still in love! It's been a few days since I posted. Have gotten loads of compliments on it too.

But holy crap-- battery life? It's non-existent! I think I may need to buy a spare charger for my bag!
