I don't know of any UK radio apps, but I wish I could find one! Let me know if you find one.

I just found out about it because of this thread and it's hilarious. Question though I went to the site on both my blackberry and on my PC and I don't see an install link. Is the link gone now?

Oh and PeekaWho... funny name, has me intrigued...never heard of it. ;)
Quick Launch allows you to use your side key to a drop down menu of most of your apps. Allows you to switch apps easier and even pull up media files from it. It's available thru the crackberry store and I think cost 4.99.

The PeekaWho will pop up on your screen when you have an incoming e-mail or SMS and give you a preview of the message to let you know if it needs your attention now or can wait. Also, can OTA from crackberry store for under $10.
Start with the quick launch though I'm sure you'll like it.

I use Qik a lot, for free live streaming. (d.qik.com on your device for an OTA download)

Also using Facebook 1.5 (find it on torrent sites), TwitterBerry, BBPlacemarks (lite version of the soon-to-come Brightkite.com app), and others.

Love this thing! Moved from an iPhone 3G on T-Mobile to this and I totally love it.

Radio-wise I really like is Nobex Radio Companion. Unlike Slacker (which is a great app), this radio app gives you a large variety of radio stations in the US and Canada from news (NPR or AM stations) to music. It's free to boot.

I feel kind of silly asking a lot of you what each application does... but from here on in, would you guys mind just putting a tiny description of the application so I (and others! ;) don't have to keep asking?

I feel silly, because I actually don't know a lot of them... I wasn't too app crazy with my last Blackberry (the 8320) because there memory was such crap on it that I didn't put a lot of applications on. ;)

I've also got Shazam on trial, probably not going to keep it tho as not using it really, and BuzzMe which I probably will keep as I will use it on my Normal profile and not on my Work profile.

I have plenty of applications on my 8900, and most of them get used on a daily basis.

BerryBuzz, because I love to know if I have an email, or sms. I hate looking at my phone when I am in class or something, just to have an email that could have waited the 50 minutes until I am out, so it is definitely useful.

Facebook - I love the push notifications, and with the new 1.5 beta that is out, I can comment on status updates as well! Plus I can sync my contacts with my friends on facebook, which I absolutely love!

Poynt - This handy little application has saved me numerous times. Whether I need the phone number to the closet pizza place, or I want to see movie times, or theaters that are playing the movies, and especially when I want to know where the closet say Target is. I could not live without this application on my phone, and the best part, it is free!

Quickpull - I NEVER have to do battery pulls anymore. I have this program set to perform a "battery pull" every night at 10pm, and if I am getting errors or something, I no longer have to manually pull the battery.

TwitterBerry - I am addicted to twitter, and this application lets me keep in touch with all my friends who use twitter as well.

Autostandby - It puts my phone into standby after the backlight turns off, and it definitely helps save battery life!

This thread has been amazingly helpful. I have found so many great new programs to help me enjoy my BB even more than I already did right out of the box. Keep them coming!

i love shazam which is only a 2 month trial, but it allows you to use your bb to identify music that is playing. its very accurate. i couldnt find a song that it wouldnt identify. i've even tried it inside the car and the club and it works great. its the only program i'd consider purchasing other than beejive

create your own free ringtones online at Myxer - Download Ringtones and More. all you have to do is join for free. the most popular songs are already uploaded. you just customize the song by choosing the snippet that you want and a download link will be sent to your bb via text msg.
