Is the blackberry on BES, or is it a second hand blackberry that could have been on BES?

I got the meaning of BES, but the BB is not on BES. I received it as a replacement of my new BB that wasn't working ok. I don't now if it was on BES.

Is the blackberry used -- Did you acquire it secondhand, or brand new?

pagallo, I saw your post on this topic on the blackberry support forums. There you said you put your SIM in another blackberry and windows live messenger worked. Was that other blackberry the same model and OS as yours?

Was that from your carier/service provider, or was it from a private party or ebay seller or some other seller along those lines?

One thing I forgot, should have been second question:

Have you tried a hard reset (remove battery for about 30 seconds)? I imagine you in effect did when you tried your SIM in the other blackberry, but it wouldn't hurt to do it again. Wait a good 30 seconds, even a minute, before replacing the battery. And remove the battery with the blackberry power on. (Do not power off the blackberry begfore removing the battery.)

I changed the SIM into another regular phone from T-Mobile, but not a BB, and WLM worked perfectly. I've doing the hard reset a million times and nothing works.

OK. I'm stumped. I've been searching around and haven't found much.

I've assumed you are using the latest windows live messenger version. Is that the case?

And you are using TMobile USA? Not Europe?

I doubt you have an IT policy on the device, but check:

options > security options > general settings > scroll down and see what is listed under services

Hopefully it will read ***no services***, but some applications it seems do install stuff that shows up here (Windows Live put something on my 8820, for example).

If no IT policy, the only other thing I can think of is to resend service books. See How do I resend my service books? - BlackBerryFAQ

I have that, too. Blackberry messenger, I assume. Definately not a BES IT policy.

What about resending service books?

I did exactly as you told me. I sent a service book and received an activation server email for each email account I have. I tried to connect into WLM and keeps saying the same error "service in not enable for this handheld".
