Thanks Kingston!

fzfrank: I have a google voice number also, but wanted the Visual Voicemail for my mobile number. I don't have my mobile number set as my google voice number.

I think I have the same setup, but I downloaded Google Voice to my Blackberry and 'activated' my Google Voice on my Blackberry. It works seemlessly like Youmail and TMO visual voicemail.

Do you have the voicemail icon -- looks like a combination of an old landline handset and voicemail indicator? That's where your voicemails will be. If you don't have it, try a battery pull then try resending your service books.

Yup, I've got the visual voice mail application icon on the main screen. Just no notifications are coming in. I've done a battery pull and resent service books. The App is there. I can get in to it to set password and greeting.

Im having a problem where I am not recieving any voicemails at all now. I changed my phone from 8900 to 9700 and made the selection and saved the changes but for some reason I do not get any viocemails at all now. Call tmob bb tech support and the could not help me because the 8900 does not support it. Anyone with suggestion?

I gave up and went back to 4.6. T-Mobile worked hard to figure out what was wrong. I think it's a glitch with the phone's firmware it self.

I had this happen, as well, on my 8900. I tried to activate on the phone before adding the service on TMobile.com.

The only way to fix it was to make a backup of the device then wipe it. Then restore everything but the Visual Voicemail databases using Backup/Restore Advanced. Then after restoring everything I started the visual voicemail app again and all worked after that.

It just doesn't like it if you try to start the voicemail app before adding the service on TMobile.com

I was also told that Visual VoiceMail is forwarded to a different number as well. instead of ending in 3 the visual voice mail server ends in 9
