So I have received a "like new" (refurb) from tmobile for my 8900 and I am on BES.

Last few times I updated software and backup restore device it duplicated my contacts/calender or just my email....

What is the proper way to do this? I currently am doing this:
Backup phone
Restore phone
Activate BES

Seems when I activate it wants to put everything on the phone twice....

I did a search on forum and google and couldn't find answer thanks in advance for your help!

The BES stores a wireless backup. You don't need to do a restore via DM.

In BES 4.1 and greater, yes.

You'd have to ask them about it. MailStreet has wireless backup enabled.
