I have two 9700's(which this applies to both) and therefore am not sure if this applies to other models but I have not seen this posted anywhere on the web.

I was looking at previous messages in a thread and, using the trackpad, I quickly scrolled to the right and the next thread in order came out! I scrolled QUICKLY to the left and the thread I was just looking at came back up. I thought it was pretty cool, not that it seems all that useful in a practical sense lol.

Are there other trackpad "gesture" shortcuts like this?

*note: it only works when your looking at a previous message in a thread and not in the "reply" field.

By message you mean text. to me it's a useless function that can cause confusion unless the person knows exactly what their reading on which text and replys to the one they intend. Simply moving the mouse can cause you to go to another text from a different person. ( girl friend vs. wife)( Boss vs. co-worker)

I did mean to say text, thanks, but if you're one of those people who has their call log in the message list it also works with that. And yes, aside from perhaps using it for the call log, I really don't see an actual purpose to this other than slip-ups.
