Hi, am from Kenya and the challenge with using my phone is that:

1. I bought a 8130 Series Blackberry that is locked on Alltel network and it does not have a CDMA SIM placing.Is there a way i can first unlock it then configure it to another network provider?In Kenya we have only one CDMA network provider thats Orange telcom.
Please assist.Thanks.

AFAIK, you cannot unlock a CDMA device. You should call the carrier and see if they will activate it as is. Not many will allow a phone that do not sell and support on their network.

And it cannot be made to operate on a GSM network.

You can re-provision the device for another CDMA provider if you know the MSL code, but not one that requires RUIM/SIM cards. If Orange KE requires RUIM/SIM cards, the device will not work.
