All,

A beta version of PD 5.4 will be released next week. The new features are:

• BlackBerry Bold Certified
• Full native support for HTML email inside PD (including the option to automatically download images) (OS 4.5+)
• Added support for multiple calendars (Bold or OS 4.6+)
• Added VoiceMail indicator support for Voicemail services like youmail.com, phonetag.com, etc. Includes an automated reminder (tone or vibrate which keeps reminding you that you have an unread voicemail)
• Added a new System Status section!
• Added support for WiFi status (OS 4.3+)
• Added many new RSS feeds (they are all dynamically fetched from our servers now)
• Corrected issues with the keymap screen not showing all installed blackberry applications to select from
• Contact selection (speeddial, calendar, tasks – OS 4.3+) can now choose any contact regardless of whether they have an email address
• Corrected an issue with recurring all day events on OS 4.3 showing on multiple days
• Corrected an issue where tasks could not be opened in day/weekview

More details to come.

If we're using a device that currently doesn't have 4.5 OS available, will the new beta still work if we download it?

Thank you for sharing. Your product seems to be holding well with the 4.5 upgrades.

The beta will work on all OS versions, but certain functionality is dependent on the particular OS version. For example, HTML email is only supported if you have BB OS 4.5 or higher.

The only things missing in PD are bluetooth and BB message indicators on the PD screen. It has virtually everything else. Will these be added in the future? Thx

Another thing I'd like to see is the weather and clock fonts be user-selectable.

I'm hoping for a Profile indicator to show the current profile (not a profile changer/switcher, just an indicator; e.g. N, V, Q, etc.).

Good catch, I think I mentioned this while ago... But yep this would make PD one of the most complete apps on the BB...

All,

BB Messenger, profile indicator, voicemail and bluetooth are things that RIM does not currently expose to 3rd party developers. If/when they add these, PocketDay will support them.

Weather / Clock fonts we are working on.

Wirelessly posted (Verizon 8830)
