Has anyone tried version 4.x on the 8530 curve? A nice phone, but I'm not a fan at all of OS 5, especially the way it forces you to look at sms grouped all in a long thread. I dont want to have to "view folder" each time to see texts the way it was pre OS 5.

I do not believe that there is a version 4.x for the 8530. The OS is device specific and I believe it shipped with version 5.

And please update your profile to reflect the model number of your current BB (8530 vs 7750?). It helps to know which device you are using when there are problems.
