Hi! Does anyone know have to configure CDMA Services for a BB9530 using Telcel Mexico carrier in order to navigate in 3G?

Telcel has Bold 9000 navigating in 3G, but I haven't found a way to access CDMA Services in that model.

I follow a BB guru with his own website: Salomondrin
I do believe he travels internationally but I recall him indicating he is based out of Mexico. He may be able to provide you with a solution to your issue. He also twitters and the account name is on his website.

Is Telcel a CDMA provider?
The 9530 cannot - under ANY circumstances - acquire 3G on a GSM network.

Your post compelled me to grab my little Quad Band unlocked GSM Motorola V188 flip phone and cheat sheet from its box. I can tell you this. Telcel is definitely a GSM carrier. In Mexico the GSM providers are Telcel and Movistar. The CDMA carriers are IUSACELL and Unefon.

I am not totally hip to the science behind 3G however I've seen videos and read articles regarding 3G services being obtained operating on the Telcel network. You would be best served by dealing with a guru who lives and operates cell phones in Mexico.

Ok for your answers I guess I won't be able to configure CDMA, but Telcel then has 3G based on GSM, because they have BB Bold on 3G.

Does anyone know about the configuration on GSM? Thanks in advance for all your help, regards

Dude, Telcel is GSM/UMTS

The only CDMA providers in Mexico are Iusacell and Unefon.
