Default New to BB with some questions

Please Login to Remove!

I am interested in buying 8900, I am never owned a BB before, and looking forward to join the BB community. anyways i have some questions to make things clear.

I have a windows based mobile phone, it has the outlook exchange so basically when ever i receive an email the phone updates every 30min using the DATA PLAN or WIFI and refresh my email list, I know BB do the same thing but emails come instantly, that's if i have a blackberry plan, now can I do the same with an unlocked 8900 using only Normal DATA plan? if not is there a way to check and send emails without a BB plan?

I know there is almost no point of getting BB without BB plan, but this is only for s temporary period.

your input is appreciated

best comprehensive q&a i have ever seen in any forum. Thanks Jsconyers for your help.
I guess what i am looking for is not possible (to have a normal data plan with BB device that has some sort of application that uses push email and alerts when receiving an email) maybe if such a thing is found then BB enterprise will not be in demand as much.
