Smile New 8900 user

Hello,

I am a new BlackBerry user. Got my 8900 2 days ago. I have some questions :
  1. I am able to view my Windows Live e-mail account, but new messages appear in my BB, but true syncronization is not working. For example if I delete messages from my Hotmail Inbox, using Outlook on my computer, BB still leaves them in it's Inbox. How can I make BB sync. real-time, so only the messages that are on the server are viewed in BB?
  2. Are there free apps. and schemes for BB or do I have to pay for everything?
  3. PDF manuals from the BB site are not verfy informative. For example you can't view a description of all of the Icons on the screen. Manual that comes in the box is the same. Is there a place where I can view more detailed info, including screenshots, Icons list and descriptions, etc.?
  4. Is there a way for me to view my Windows Live Calendar in BB, and have it sync. in real-time?
  5. BB 8900 has GPS, when I look at the GPS info. it shows nothing (0,0). I know that AT&T charges $9.99/month to use the built-in AT&T Navigator GPS software. I have unlimited data plan, is there a software that I can buy or maybe even free, that allows me to use the GPS without having to pay for AT&T Navigator?

1. You cant.
BIS is NOT 2 way sync.
Only changes made on the BB are reflected on the server. This is not reflected in an email client such as outlook.

2. Yes there are free apps for BB. what are schemes? do you mean themes? yes there are few ones of those too.

3. No, but ask here what you have a problem with and it will be answered.

4. nope.

5. google maps.
also while in the GPS options if you go menu - refresh it will then show you your lat and long.

3. No, but ask here what you have a problem with and it will be answered. - Would like to get a screenshot with all the Icons and what they mean. This is included in other Phone manuals (LG, Samsung, Motorola, etc.), but not in the Blackberry. I don't understand all the Icons I have on the screen.

4. nope.

5. google maps.

- Dowloaded Google maps. Work's great. Is there any other more advanced software that can give me for example Gas stations, places of interest, hotels, etc., near my current location?

Thanks for your help.
