My Pearl took a very quick bath at work and seemed to continue to function. About 3 hours later, it wasn't and at that time I took out the battery. It has been 5 days and all I get with replacing the battery or powering up with USB is the red LED blinking 3 times then 2 times, then 3 times, then 2 times...I know I didn't do the right things, but does the blinking pattern signify anything other than bye, bye pearl? The water indicators have not changed. Thanks for any advice.

I had a 7130e that used to do that when I took out the battery. The solution was to pull the battery and hold the power button down for 1 minute. Then it would boot back up.

But, I had not dunked the thing and then allowed charge to continue through the board, shorting circuits and making a general mess of things...

If the water indicators are truly undamaged you got lucky. You might just be able to return it to the store?

Have you tried to attach it to a PC? Can it be read in windows as mass storage?
