I ordered a Seidio battery door because the OEM door isn't black plastic like the faceplate. It's actually a very light grey which wouldn't have looked all that great with the black front.

Thanks for the info on the battery door, I might have started sanding away expecting the same black plastic.

I had the same idea as oester - I like the black LCD lens on the red 8310. I was planning on ordering me a red front plate to sand up.

you mean as in tmobile's titanium grey 8320 or at&t's silver grey 8310?

i noticed your profile say you have the 8320 but the picture looks like the at&t 8310?

It's an 8320 that originally had the gold housing on it. The faceplate I sanded down was from an AT&T 8300. I also used the AT&T bottom piece because it matches the keyboard.

I may have the chance to post some clearer pics this weekend.

that would be an awesome color scheme, however, it would not look good on something sleek. I think it would only look good on a more rugged looking model, maybe like the Nextel 7100i.

Just a suggestion for anyone painting their BB, let it dry completely before using it!

Note the blackberry shaped paint mark on me head... I am glad I noticed before I was leaving the house!

Although I really like the rich crimson color of my new 8310...the black housing would look amazing with the black/silver keys, and black fascia. If I can find another complete housing...I might try this too.

sweet, you now have the thinnest curve on the block!

But, I must say that the keyboard and screen bezel does not go too well with the black housing. I say you try to scoop up a keyboard and screen bezel from a RED 8310, that would put the finishing touch on yours.

Sweet looking black Cruve. I'd love to be able to coat mine with that rubbery paint like the Nokia N95 has. I even like the plum color.

Here's a quick mock-up of what I'm going to try for. I just need to find a red 8310 keyboard...

I have an 8310 and I considered using the black lens and keyboard but I like the silver keyboard and lens with the black housing.

black is my favorite color and it looks really neat! but blackberry does make gel skins for the curve (and pearl). you can get them online or buy them from your service providers stores or site. T-mobile has black, dark blue and tan...im not sure what colors att has but you can get them online in tons for fun colors!! i personal have one (in black) it looks great and has a nice feel. plus it protects your phone and doesnt void out your warranty!

now that is what I'm talking about. and when your trackball turns dirty black from normal use it will all match up.

If you go to cnn.cn you can buy an OEM new faceplate for $13. Buy one there and paint/sand it to your hearts content
