Default What gives with the memory cleaner?

Please Login to Remove!

I never had a phone with so many unpredictable things happening to it. I have this memory cleaner that refuses to stay enabled. Is there something I am doing that it won't stay?

Also, how do I get my programs that are loaded in device memory transferred over to my memory card. I tried using the desktop manager, but I simply don't know if I have to click on Media Manager, Application Loader, Device Switch Wizard, Synchronize or Backup and Restore, and once there then what? I appreciate all the help. Thank you.

You cannot get programs loaded on to the media card. It simply doesn't work that way. They have to run from device memory. Sorry, I don't know the answer about the memory cleaner.

Here is some info about memory cleaner:

So, if the programs can't be transfered to the media card, then what is the media card for?

Well, I certainly deserve that. Media card - media, that certainly does makes sense. I wish it was set up like my treo where I could load as many programs onto the expansion card. Maybe one day they will do it that way, wouldn't that be a seller.

With the latest f/w on the 8330 the Memory Cleaner app seems to stay enabled now - at least it does for me (rel 188).

It doesn't for me. Every time I re-boot the phone I have to go back and enable memory cleaner again.

You might want to look at this, its a program that claims to run apps off of a media card.

Aerize Card Loader doesn't actually let you run apps from the media card. It lets you install from the card, but the programs don't run from it.

the Aerize Optimizer appears to intermittently kick-off automatically and goes into a never ending loop optimizing from time to time; causing me to reset my bold/9000 to get around it.

Since then, I set it to off and I do it manually from time to time and it appears to be reclaiming mem.....?

Anyone experience this?

Enable Content Protection, then the memory cleaner will stay.

The memory does not really serve much a purpose for a normal consumer.

May I ask what you think it does and why you think you need it enabled?
